Gravel Seat Bag – Compact saddlebag for bikepacking, gravel, and MTB

Kicking Donkey's Gravel Seat Bag is a compact, lightweight bikepacking saddlebag designed for riders seeking a stable, low-profile bag suitable for road and gravel riding, as well as for MTBs equipped with dropper posts.
It is a handcrafted saddlebag, made in Italy using high-performance technical materials.

Compared to the Seat Bag Classic, the Gravel Seat Bag is designed for more dynamic, sporty riding: it features reduced volume, low weight, and a shape engineered to ensure maximum freedom of movement while pedaling.

Design tailored for gravel and dropper posts

The tapered shape at the seatpost attachment point allows for easy pedaling, preventing annoying contact between your thighs and the bag. This makes the Gravel Seat Bag particularly well-suited for road and gravel bikes.

For use on MTBs with dropper posts, the attachment point is positioned as high as possible, allowing the seatpost to be fully lowered without interference.

Unlike the Seat Bag Classic—which is designed for long trips and bulkier loads—the Gravel Seat Bag prioritizes compactness, lightness, and freedom of movement.

Materials and construction

The Gravel Seat Bag is made from durable, waterproof technical materials:

• X-Pac VX21 (Dimension Polyant): a 4-layer laminated fabric waterproof up to 13.8 bar of pressure
• polypropylene securing straps
• Duraflex locking buckles

The result is a very lightweight yet extremely abrasion- and deformation-resistant bikepacking saddlebag.

Note: we recommend wrapping the seatpost with protective tape.

Fender included

The price includes a dedicated fender, useful for protecting the bag from mud and preventing contact between the wheel and the bag—especially when used on full-suspension MTBs.

Note on waterproofing: although the fabric is waterproof, the bag is stitched rather than welded.
In the event of heavy, prolonged rain, we recommend protecting water-sensitive items by using an internal nylon dry bag.
