The first thing you notice when handling the Gravel Bag is its lightness, thanks to the material used in its construction; it feels incredibly lightweight to the touch, which is certainly a plus.
Looking at the bag in greater detail, what stands out—aside from the weight—is the quality of the finish: the stitching is flawless, and the detailing is impeccable.
I really liked the slots featuring your logo, designed for threading the closure straps.
One feature I consider very important—and which you have included—is the stopper on the closure straps; it prevents the bag from loosening while in motion, a detail not found on every bag on the market.
Gravel Bag Review: Capacity
So far, I’ve tested the bag with two different packing setups. First, I packed a full kit of heavier gear for cold weather—including a long-sleeve jersey, a heavy jacket, a windbreaker, leg warmers, and tools—and everything fit without issue. For the second test, I packed a complete rain/cold-weather kit, again with no problems at all.
I believe this gravel bag can easily hold everything needed for a full day in the saddle; alternatively, when paired with a spacious frame bag, it’s enough to handle a two-day ride without any issues.
Gravel Bag Review: Stability
When packed correctly and filled to capacity, the bag causes no issues once attached to the saddle; it remains very stable, and once the straps are properly adjusted, it doesn’t shift around much—even when riding out of the saddle.
Overall Verdict on the Kicking Donkey Gravel Bag
Overall, this gravel bag is truly perfect; it comes in a size that is hard to find on the market, and—above all—it offers excellent value for money given the flawless craftsmanship.
